Пурвитис. 1897'). and illustrator of several children's books. inspired by his father, the outstanding Latvian graphic artist prof. Rihards Zariņa (1869–1939, creator of Latvian national heraldry, compiler of Latvian articles, author of the pentathlete 'Milda'). In all her works, the Latvian color appears, especially the depictions of children's lives - they have a rich expression and human warmth. She had excellent co-operation with representatives of German culture, which she, as an ardent Latvian patriot, always used to strengthen and promote Latvia's cultural heritage. May Zariņa-Celmiņa and her husband remained in Germany for the rest of their lives.. Paper, watercolor
