A.P. Chekhov "verbal" portrait. Published by SB Khazin in 1904 A unique portrait, perhaps the only copy in Latvia. In Russia, the first portraits made of letters appeared in the beginning. 20th century. The pioneer and organizer of such production was the publisher S. B. Khazin. In 1904, in the printing house of S.V. Kulzhenko S. B. Khazin published a chest-length, rectilinear portrait of A.P. Chekhov in pince-nez according to a photograph by F. O. Opitz of 1901 with a census of stories - “In the Bathhouse”, “Siren”, “Romance with Double Bass”, “Angry Boy” of 26 thousand characters.
