Bronze sculpture "Harpist" 1982. Bronze, height 97 cm
"Arfiste"made in 1982nd in 2 eksemplāros, from which one is in Latvian Art Museum archives.
Author - Valdis Albergs (1922-1984) mostly performed works from stone ("1905 Revolutionary monument" in Grizinkalns; Monument Latvian Riflemen monument in Riflemen Square, monument in Salaspils for death camp victims, etc.), but the "Harpist" was made of bronze for poster exhibitions that took place in 1983 (this year, the author is also becoming professor at the Academy of Art).
This bronze sculpture (work both not shown a particular person and it is the author's imagination) Albergs accounted drawing motivation of love of classical music, so a second harpist, without aftertreatment, kept to himself.
