Architect, artist, decorator, teacher.
S.Antonov was born in Riga, studied architecture in Riga and Petersburg. In 1920s S.Antonov returnd to Riga and taught at the architectural faculty of the University of Latvia till 1954. He took part in numerous architectoral competitions and won high awards for his projects, such as the building of the editorial office of the newspaper "Segodnya", restaurant "Lido" on the Riga seaside, cinema "Renaisance" in Riga. From 1925 to 1940-ies S.Antonov worked as artist decorator in the Russian theatre.
He manifasted himself as a gifted artist paintinf landscapes, still life, did graphic works.
