Latvian painter, one of the Latvian school watercolor makers after Second World War. Member of Independent Artists.
Studied in Birzes school, Stendes elementary school, elementary school and Talsi, Talsu high school, where the teacher Karlis Sprunke inspired him to follow the life of art.
Studied paintings in the Latvian Academy of Arts (1927 - 1934), where he graduated to Professor Janis Kuga "Decorative painting workshop".
In 1944th he became a member of the Artists Union, also in this year he started the teacher work in Riga School of Applied Arts (1944-1967). Died February 13, 1979 in Riga.
