He has graduated Latvian Art Academy by guidance of J. F. Tillbergs with diploma work „Idyll” (1931). The member of Art Academy since 1945th.
Solo exhibitions: Talsi, Riga (1973, 1977, 1979, 1981, 1989), Ventspils (1974, 1979), Valdemarpils (1977), Kuldiga (1980).
Artist painted figurative compositions, landscapes and portraits. He worked also in monumental painting – six paintings in Valgales district (1934) and altar painting to the Talsu leprosarium church. (The Christ’s healing diseased, 1939).
Awarding: The premium from Cultural foundation by painting „The little writer”, 1938).
