Maltsov Kaya candy crater vase. The shape and style of the vase are very reminiscent of products from the Maltsov factories (in particular, the Dyatkovo Crystal Factory or Gus-Khrustalny). "Faceted Diamond" style: Products from the Maltsov factories of the late 19th and early 20th centuries are characterized by precisely these wide vertical facets and a massive stem with a stable base. Shape: Such stemmed bowls (often called "jam vases" or "candy bowls") were mass-produced and very popular in the Russian Empire. Material: The photo shows thick-walled pressed glass, typical of the period, which, when well preserved, retains its transparency and luster. Old pressed glass often shows small air bubbles within the mass or characteristic seams from metal molds. This vase is an excellent example of Russian industrial art of the period.
